A Thousand Summers 10
Then I went to Remedios in Manila for lunch, meeting up with
another close friend from the 90s. He was looking for someone to help him with
his new business.
So I called another friend, a
former OFW with free time. I was overjoyed when they clicked instantly. They
were celebrating their new-found friendship in the living room while I was in
the kitchen, getting a glass of water.
I was also texting another friend.
I told him I'll be at his house the following week. I have made up my mind. I
already knew where was I going, where the next chapter of my life will begin. I
will take the longer and much more exhilarating land-and-sea route. I began
listing the people whom I'll give away my clothes, gym equipments and other
stuff.
I always travel light–no excess baggage.

Wednesday
A friend was asking me earlier if I have children. I told
him that my oldest son (one of those I'm sure is mine) is now 17 years old.
He's in a different continent now with his mom who had married somebody else. I felt even more sentimental when I
saw Jeric Raval, one of my favorite action stars when I was a teenager in the
90s, on "Tonight With Arnold Clavio" on GMA-7 together with the film legend
Philip Salvador. Jeric is about my age and his kids are also teenagers now.
Life is beautiful but it flies so fast. But it is still full of wonders.

Naniniwala ako sa angels. Kanina, umaga pa lang nagbiyahe na ako papunta sa probinsya. Kailangan ko kasi mahanap ang aking inner strength na mas madali kong natatanto kapag mag-isa lang ako sa isang tahimik na lugar. Pagkatapos ko magtanghalian ng siomai at ngoyong sa tabing-dagat, pinanood kong buo ang pelikulang Minority Report na bida si Tom Cruise at direktor si Steven Spielberg. Nakita ko rin ang bagong profile picture sa Facebook ng crush ko. Pagsapit ng gabi, nakinig ako ng mga kanta sa radyo upang mag-unwind ng isip at humanap ng emotional renewal sa musika. Pinatugtog bigla ang Angel ni Sarah McLachlan. Ipinaramdam ng Guardian Angel ko na alam niya ang lahat ng mga sama ng loob ko sa trainer sa trabaho at kasera sa bahay na parehong hindi ko na matiis ang ugali. Ipina-alala niya sa akin na hindi ako nag-iisa at hindi ako ng pababayaan ng nagbigay sa kanya sa akin. (Diary. May 9, 2015, Saturday.)
