Dreamwalking (2)
I thought briefly about what word would flash in other people's heads when
they think of me. Then I realized I don't even care what others think about me.
I also noticed that the more critical and judgmental a person, the more I
find his opinions insignificant to me.
Kaulder has tracked down and killed witches for centuries with the help of
Axe and Cross, a secret order that proclaims itself as the protector of the
human race against the threat of supernatural creatures.
I'm sure they meant well, yet I didn't even blink when Kaulder was betrayed
by his own people. Maybe it's because, like the reborn Witch Queen, my cynicism
and disillusion with humanity has grown so deep that only a Dreamwalker can
help me find it.
