My Orange Days

My Orange Days

For the past few days I've been watching my favorite TV series, the Japanese drama Orange Days, while learning sign language and Japanese through YouTube.

I've also been reading so many book excerpts from Amazon with today as my Mitch Albom day. And I'm doing all these while at the office, yet doing my work as flawlessly as I'm capable of.

Mitch Albom is an inspiration, not only his books that inspires me to be a better person, but also he's my role model for being a writer that is touching the lives of millions.

“So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.” ~ Mitch Albom, Tuesdays With Morrie

“There are five people you meet in heaven. Each of us was in your life for a reason. You may not have known the reason at the time, and that is what heaven is for. For understanding your life on earth. This is the greatest gift God can give you: to understand what happened in your life. To have it explained. It is the peace you have been searching for.” ~ Mitch Albom, The Five People You Meet in Heaven

“As mankind grew obsessed with its hours, the sorrow of lost time became a permanent hole in the human heart. People fretted over missed chances, over inefficient days; they worried constantly about how long they would live, because counting life’s moments had led, inevitably, to counting them down. Soon, in every nation and in every language, time became the most precious commodity.” ~ Mitch Albom, The Time Keeper
